The fall semester is coming to a close at Becker, and most of our students are getting ready to return home for the holidays. But we still have plenty of random facts and news about Becker to share. Read on for the latest compilation of all things Becker!

  • Dr. Nuno Carreiro will begin working on the Leicester Campus as an assistant professor and staff veterinarian of the Lenfest Animal Health Center—our on-campus clinic.
  • This past semester, our students were given the opportunity to study America’s obsession with zombies in Dr. Maria Calkins’ special topics course, “Zombie Psychology.”
  • Two Leicester High School students received hand-delivered acceptance letters from our mascot, Hank the Hawk. (Click here to see photos from Hank’s visit!)
  • Becker enrollment numbers increased 6 percent since last year, jumping from 1,902 students to 2,021 students.
  • The Becker Connector, an online career database, is open to all Becker students and alumni and features over 70,000 job opportunities.

Our students may soon be on break, but we’ll still be hard at work on campus. Consider using your time off to schedule a visit and see if Becker is the right place for you.
